Literature Text

I am the goddess of light
Stay with me here through the night
Where will you go? What will you do
when the Night lets the shadows on through?

The bird ceases evening song
Wind rolls, foreboding, along.
Silence is done
War has begun
The Night let the shadows through.

Red and white paints the stars in the sky
Mourning the deaths of the souls as they fly
But where will we be if tomorrow we see,
Night's shadows descended anew?

I am the goddess of light
Saddened am I by your plight
The battle is done
Nobody's won
But the Night...and the shadows...not you.
I made a song!

The first stanza I worked on over the period of a few days during school last year. The rest I wrote at 2 in the morning after I had been hearing things for a few hours. <_<;; (There was a hick involved; don't ask me.)
Anyways!
Being that I'm a total nerd, it's slightly influenced by World of Warcraft, but it's general enough that it doesn't have to.

Now....you're not allowed to laugh...I have a recording of it >.< And you could totally laugh if I didn't have both Mono AND Staph while i was singing this, but since I do, no laugh! Still, i sang it well considering, and I wouldn't present it to the public if I couldn't listen to it repeatedly.
My apologies to you for the click at the beginning where I presumably tilted my monitor forward by accident. It kinda makes it start abruptly :(

So uh...for the next week it will be hosted [here], but if it's after that, just ask me and I'll send it to you. *blush* I'm trying to get a thing on Audiostreet.net but I doubt I will >_>...
I wish I could play an instrument/manipulate Garageband to make, you know, an ACTUAL song >_>.....or perhaps be able to arrange/compose music to go behind it <_<....

Anyways....continue on :3

PS: It still gives me chills every time I listen to it! It always makes me feel so sad. Almost hopeless... You have an incredible voice, whose purity and depth is inimitable and unrivaled. I love everything you've ever published.
