Death Cab for Cutie has taken my SOUL this weekend. I've been craving drawing a rain picture for a while now and finally I did! This was done entirely to Transatlanticism, which are the lyrics paraphrased in the picture. That song is so sad...

Anyways, this is the same place that "The Grey Courtyard" took place in (some earlier piece...uhh....search 's favorites cause I'm too lazy to find it). The Grey Courtyard was something I had in a dream. It was probably one of my most vivid dreams...anyways it's where I used to meet Ryan in my dreams. We would dance and play in the rain...

But in this picture he's been barred off and we're apart. Read the lyrics. It's incredibly sad. I started this picture actually listening to "Rain" by Rachel Loshak, which says "I'll wait here, rained through for you." That's the essence of the picture.

It took me 3 hours and 30 minutes from sketch to finalization. I'm really proud of it!

And one day I WILL have that coat. I already have those awesome socks. Kay the end.

I was looking on iTunes about a year ago, and saw something called "Something About Airplanes." Intrigued, I listened to the samples, got excited, and downloaded it. Since then, I've amassed their albums, and downloaded Plans last night. X3 THEY HAVE MY SOUL!!!!

lol... better than the way i found out about them... i found out from being so obsessed with a tv show that i downloaded a ton of music that was played on it, and in one episode they'd had a Death Cab concert, so... ^^;

Hooray for Death Cab. I wantsta go to the concert. I really like the wrinkles in the shirt and pants in thumbnail, but when I did full view it was a bit too liney. I really like this though. Very nice subject, very nice song.
